Spring 2026 Book Release: Celebrating Culture, History, and Joy

We are thrilled to announce the Spring 2026 book collection from Planting People Growing Justice Press, a publishing initiative rooted in the arts and humanities and dedicated to uplifting diverse voices. This new collection continues our commitment to training and publishing emerging Black authors while filling a critical gap. Today, Black authors represent only 5-7% percent of authors published in the United States, leaving many stories untold. Our work exists to change that.

Each title in the Spring 2026 collection celebrates culture, history, identity, and joy while offering young readers meaningful stories they can connect with and learn from. Together, these books help weave together a rich tapestry of voices that affirm lived experience and spark imagination.

Books With Purpose

When you purchase a book from this collection, you are doing more than adding a story to your shelf. One hundred percent of the proceeds from book sales support Planting People Growing Justice Leadership Institute, an arts and humanities nonprofit where we train and publish emerging Black authors, lead writing workshops, and expand access to culturally affirming literature.

Your support helps us:

  • Develop new authors

  • Publish diverse books

  • Promote literacy and creative expression

  • Bring joy and representation to children and families

Together, we are building a future where every child can see themselves reflected in the stories they read.

Purchase your book from the Spring 2026 collection at www.ppgjbooks.com and join us in celebrating stories that matter.
